“How do we stick together with the people who continue to kick us in the face repeatedly?”
Hey,I don’t like it anymore than you do,but ANYTHING would be better than another Obama.
It may not be ideal, but it would be a start.
.
After reading about some of the underhanded things the GOP is doing to conservatives, I can honestly say I will never call myself a Republican ever again.
it’s a tough needle to thread. We need to both help them get win, but also let them know that there are, and will be, repercussions for ever kicking us again.
I keep pointing to Mark Levin’s idea of picking a single Senate race every cycle and targeting a RINO for defeat in the general election. Not enough to swing control of the Senate, but enough to send a strong message that we’re powerful, we’re paying attention and we won’t be triffled with.
Best candidate for that this cycle is Cochrane. IMHO. In 2016, unless something else pops up, it should be McCain. Focus the effort on one incumbent, rather than difusing across several (something Conservatives tend to do).
If we keep voting for them, then we are showing them there are no repercussions.
Any GOP candidate who is seen as TEA Party is going to find themselves without much funding and support. The guy who beat Cantor, the GOP in that district gave their GOTV money away to other GOP orgs.
Even in lefty Massataxes they worked tirelessly, even lying and cheating to keep a real conservative off the primary ballot. How crazy is that?

Another candidate, for the Senate, was totally ignored at the state convention even though he had paid for a huge sign right next to the stage. As soon as the establishment candidates name was called for nomination they closed nominations.
If I lived in that messed up state I would definitely be supporting independent Scott Lively
Well said Leni.
I stand with you.
I AM ANDREW BREITBART.
I came close to leaving FR last election when Obama won again. I don’t know if there was fraud. But let’s say there wasn’t. Millions of Republicans stayed home because Romney was, well, Romney. FR was purist and proud of the voters that abstained voting for Pres. FR may have had some influence, given serious voters ammunition not to vote.
I love Andrew Breitbart and always will. I love Ronald Reagan. I love the important line in the Hippocratic Oath. All say the same thing. The perfect is the enemy of the good. First, do no harm. Vote for the most conservative guy. Defeat tyrannical socialists.
Letting Obama win another election has caused far more harm than Romney would have. Comforting yourselves clinging to the bloody entrails of never voting for a RINO is a lie.
We must oppose tyranny or we deserve it.
And we are nigh powerless against a media purchased by tyranny. We must continue to try and break through. There is hope when we read all the anti Obama sentiment on twitter or in comments on articles. We must be Breitbart and we must fight and we must stand together.
And so we got Obama who is so much better. NOT
When you lose elections something is wrong, when you become so radical that your own voters don’t vote for you, it is a time for you to catch yourself and examine just how destructive you have become, instead here it is 2014, and you are still trying to sell us on Mitt Romney and his pro-abortion agenda, and trying to give him prominence and position and power, to shape the GOP platform and candidate choices for the future.
Well said.
It begins "Now here we are, September, 2014."
It succinctly encapsulates perfectly where we are and why we should be where we should be.
Leni
Right and Putin is living in the 19th century and all we have to do is say that and admonish him. That works. NOT
Works? If you have a desire to restore conservatism, then you should quit opposing it, it is September of 2014, turn over a new leaf.
But, that was all water under the bridge (I thought) and it was time to put all our effort into defeating Obama.
It struck me a bit as being on a combat patrol when the platoon leader is taken out and half of the men refuse to fight for the next in command; because of what ever reason they are willing to let everyone go down to have their way.
Or a man telling you to surrender, because they had surrendered in the last war, so here is now 2014, let’s keep fighting to keep Romney alive and viable and to keep his influence in changing the party to be pro-abortion and pro-gay and overall liberal front and center.
Romney was the worst thing that ever happened to the GOP and should be a lesson to the left of the GOP, yet his supporters still are pushing him and his influence, which means he is still a hope for the left of the GOP. If they can’t get him in for 2016, they seem determined to at least mine every ounce of his ability to influence current and future GOP politics.
!
Abortion? Gay? Are you going to die on those twin hills? Abortion and gay didn’t have a thing to do with what is going on with ISIS. Abortion and gay didn’t take 11-12 jet airliners to use as weapons. Abortion and gay didn’t have anything to do with Putin and Eastern Europe.
So true!!!
Yeah, abortion and marriage are fundamental.
What kind of weird lefty rant was that?
Our side is better armed, if not as ruthless. We will learn ruthless soon enough.
Re: “Millions of Republicans stayed home because Romney was, well, Romney.”
Please see my Comment #24.
There is very little statistical evidence that millions of Conservatives stayed home in 2012.
