He beat the owners of the “vintage jag”, an elderly couple, so badly that they are in the hospital in critical condition.

The youngest of the people he killed was a 63 year-old man who was visiting his 88 year-old mother, also killed. He then killed a 69 year-old woman. They were doing nothing but were in his line-of-sight, and each received a shotgun blast to the head.

Really depressing, and prayers for the families of the innocents.

With Sebelius as governor of Kansas, I would have expected that killers would go free and their victims would be convicted of being in the way of the robbers. Hopefully things will change.

Who controls the state legislature in Missouri? Reporting from that state during the Ferguson incident was often mixed at best, often wrong in many cases. I’m a Richard Ichord man - he was an old acquaintance and no-nonsense congressman regarding security and crime.

Capital punishment seems to be one of the few things both parties agree on here. Carnahan was a Democrat and I think there were 35 executions under his administration.

I don't think we have a reluctance to impose the death sentence in this country. What we do have is a legal system that allows appeal after appeal after appeal and which delays the imposition of the jury's verdict for decades. That's what needs to change.
