The Hellcat is a monster. As it is my 5.7l Hemi is the same output as an old 383 4 barrel. I’m happy.
It took me 30 years to get my Hemi Challenger. It was worth it. I almost went with Plum Crazy Purple but I found a black one with the T/A package and never looked back. 1 of 23 for that year.
You and me both. I had a Midget back in the day. I would wax it with Blue Coral, make sure it was tuned to perfection...and I’m sure you know the rest!

They needed the extra 220 HP to get to a top end speed of 200 MPH. The SRT 382 is ~185 MPH..
My parents gave me the old car to start. Never the newer ones.

Sounds like a case of a good kid doing one incredibly stupid thing that cost him his life. I might blame the adult “friend” more than the kid. An 18 yr old kid driving a high-powered car in the early hours...what could go wrong?
My initial thought was, “Bieber”. I’m surprised that he’s not done himself in, as yet.
Learned to drive in 60 Rambler with a 3 on the tree....
That’s what I plan on doing next year, Cragar Classics. I have the 18” wheels, 20 and beyond is ridiculous. I’m old, I need space in there! :)
