Exactly - and FoxNews is not exempt. Shawn Whatsisname this morning was outraged that NFL Commish was outraged that TMZ guy was outraged, saying TMZ should have given the video to Commish, or casino should have given it to Commish, or Commish should have demanded it from one of the others.

For heaven’s sake, people! These are private entities with no more obligation to proactively turn over film than you or I would have.

Everybody just STFU!

I think anytime you have a “stronger vs weaker” situation, regardless of gender, the same emotions rise. It *does* happen that a woman is much stronger than her mate and is equally abusive, yet we think less of the man, not the woman.

Of course there’s no discussion on how women treat men. Ray’s wife slapped and spat on him, very disrespectful and yet I’m sure many women will say he probably deserved it. I find that very hypocritical. At what point is it ok for a male to defend himself from a female? Am I supposed to assume my life isn’t in danger just because I’m confronted with a female? If I’m attacked by a male I assume he wants to inflict great harm and I respond accordingly, why am I supposed to give the benefit of the doubt to a woman?

I’m not justifying Ray Rice’s response but the violent escalation was instigated by his wife. Women think they can treat men as they please and are then outraged when there’s instances of men being violent, even when the woman instigated. Apparently that isn’t something important for society to talk about.

I thought Sharia law was supposed to be OK for certain protected minorities. How is this any different? Aren’t we reminded on a daily basis that expecting young black men to live up to any reasonable standard of behavior is racisss?

I never even heard of Ray Rice until this incident and am sick to death of hearing about it. Turned on 3 Channels today and Rice was the subject.

Most people don’t care about him.

Since Mrs. Rice has apparently declined to press charges

How short our memories are. After the OJ trial, the media questioned some of the black female jurors. The entire country was shocked at how little they cared about OJ beating his wife frequently, and, in fact, they wondered why it was relevant to the case. It didn't seem to register with them that a history of brutality can indicate that he is capable of taking it to the next level, murder.

Anyway, I remember that; and, it served as a lesson that blacks have a very different pov on what is okay in a marriage. Apparently, they have no problem with a husband beating the tar out of his wife, and, actually think it is just all part of being married, Happens to everybody.

Whites, otoh, tend to not accept that behavior. It doesn't mean that there are not white men who beat their wives. We just don't shrug it off.

So, not surprised that the wife (who was his fiance at the time he cold cocked her) is defending him, and actually married him after this incident.

We already knew that Rice struck a woman so hard that she lost consciousness…

Pretty good article and it addresses some of the rather stinky and stupid issues about this story that have been bothering me from the get-go….. there are many hypocrisies but the issue that should concern everyone is basically how firm conclusions have been drawn with virtually no evidence other than everyone’s viewing of a grainy video. Frankly, the only things that we know for sure are… A) the two of them were in the elevator alone, B) there was some argument/pushing/contact prior to them getting on the elevator that continued once they are actually in the elevator, C) she attacked him, D) he stuck her, E) she ended up on the floor unconscious. I think a defense lawyer would have a very very easy time with casting doubt on it simply being a case of ‘him knocking her out’ by asking a few pointed questions…. How much alcohol did she consume this evening? Were there any drugs involved? So she wasn’t actually all that steady on her feet already, was she? So when he struck her, it was actually a case where she had been coming at him a number of times already, right? So you would have to agree that his striking of her was defensive in nature, right? Would he have hit her if she hadn’t of come after him? Did she slip at all during this exchange or were her feet stable on the floor at all times until after she went down? Did she hit her head on the wall or handrail of the elevator on her way to the floor? And how did her head hit the floor? We know that she ended up unconscious….. would you say it was the punch, the wall/handrail or floor that actually knocked her out?

Everyone is so quick to jump on the woman’s ‘everyone butt out’ statement the other day as being a pure example of battered women’s syndrome…… perhaps she is well aware of the fact that the punch from him was not what knocked her out but a closer rendition of what happened is that she was drunk, became a bit unsteady when she took a swing at him and when his fist came in contact with her, she lost her footing and wacked her head hard enough on the wall and the floor to knock her out cold. Unfortunately, presenting this scenario can’t possibly be considered even if it was true…. It just doesn’t the narrative that everyone wants. There has been no statements about the two principals involved, there is no medical evidence released…. nothing. And so what we have is endless discussion about something for which the actual evidence is very thin.

In a world where no effort is being squandered to turn the males of our society into toothless and clawless tigers, this is the way it is.

I agree. That’s just one aspect of the vast cultural divide between blacks and whites in this country that is ignored. But it isn’t just wife beating (sorry, I don’t go with “spousal abuse”...too clinical). Blacks, as a group, are far more tolerant of anti-social and deviant behavior of all kinds than are whites.

The question is why is it not ok to hit a woman?

The answer, according to the article is....well I’m not sure, chivalry is not dead, I guess.

My point is. Why do women think it is o.k for them to hit, kick, spit, throw things at a man?

Answer: Because they can.

A man has no recourse to physical violence except to leave. Leave your home, your kids, your pets and your valuables, sentimental or otherwise. And then pay that woman who abused you money, untaxed to her and which she is unaccountable for spending. Plus the house and whatever “half” is left after all that.

I don’t see it. Besides, there’s more than what we get to see in the video. There was obviously something else going on that we don’t know about.

The nature of my comments are still true, women control the narrative on this topic and think nothing of how a woman should treat men. I’m really just pointing out the lack of human decency to each other in general, how often are people completely innocent and have done *nothing* to contribute to the situation? This is an important part of forgiveness, it is as much about realizing YOU may have contributed to a situation as it is not holding a grudge. Numerous studies have shown women instigate at least half of the violence in relationships.

...do unto others as you would have them do unto you. It seems like a lot of us need reminding early and often.

At the beginning of the video, as they are by the column heading toward the elevators is where he spits at her. She swats at him then and walks ahead of him toward the elevator. Then in the elevator, he spits at her again, then she spits at him and rushes toward him. He then punches her.

These two people need help desperately.

Money Quote:

And, though few will say it anymore, we know that among a man’s duties is that ever-important charge to protect and honor women. Men are meant to use their strength to defend women against harm. When a man betrays this responsibility, we act as though he’s turned the world upside down, because he has. The man is not just a generic ‘aggressor’; he is a traitor. He has deserted his post. He was given his strength for a reason. It is supposed to be a shield for the women and children in his life, but he has used it as a weapon against them.

all i know is that if no women ever deserves to be hit no matter what they do or say, then no woman will ever have cause to even think of striking a man for what he does or says.

and how are we to view the woman who attacks the man physically and verbally/emotionally who is protecting them?

dykes like that have turned in their woman card. they want to be men. if they go around asaulting men i don’t see a problem defending yourself to the full extent necessary.

and i would say that goes for any woman who attacks a man. attacking men is not being a woman.

The reason the NFL wrapped this up months ago is that Jayana testified to Goodell and his clowns that she had forgiven Ray and that they were going to work it all out with Ray Ray getting anti-violence counseling.

The wife has obvious reasons for keeping Ray Ray on the millionaire income track. The feminazis and their male camp followers screwed this all up for Jayna and Ray.

Today Jayna is the most anti-feminist woman on the planet

The reason this situation has libtard panties wadded is that the “optics” aren’t what they want to project. Black on black violence doesn’t fit the narrative, and violence against women is something only tea baggers do. Thus the NFL, a dedicated rat media constituent, tried to downplay it. Then the video got out and they couldn’t ignore it any more. If Rice were white, he would be in prison awaiting sentence by now.

Because he is the only Man who has ever done that?

Because his Fiance wasn’t Nicole Brown’s Sister?

Because his defense wasn’t “the Bitch set me up”?
