Well at the store I visited the kitchen is basically part of the dining area so you can see your food being prepared.
Cleaning the cooking area was one of the things that the manager was yelling about.
But the floor of the dining area was filthy and many of the tables had not be cleaned so we had to search for a clean table.
Never went in the bathroom so I won’t comment.
Just not a place I want to go back to.
Usually is when one gets caught being a dumbass...by the way in Texas most if not law enforcement officers must carry even when off duty. I would think that would be true in most states.
We have idiots here in Texas too.....we just don’t elect as many of them!!!
Saw that too, smells like a trap.
No kidding, I would make sure that everyone within hearing distance would hear that we should never set foot in there again.
Local 911 operators should remember this incident. If the store gets robbed in the future, the operator should tell the store employee when he or she calls, “Wasn’t your store the one that kicked out one of our on-the-job police officers simply ‘cuz he was carrying a gun? You seem to forget that LEOs aren’t welcome in your restaurant. Have a good day”.

While I think it’s ridiculous, my dog thinks it’s quite appropriate.
"I'm sorry, sir, we can't come out there. All of our officers are armed."
This no gun policy has shown up here as well. Pretty simple. This makes the business a “not safe place” for customers. Doesn’t matter if it is conceal or open carry (which I do disagree with). Three businesses that put “no gun” policy stickers on their doors have since scraped them off. I wait until I return home, make a call to the regional manager and tell them why I will not spend my money in their stores. Often it is a corporate decision, but I still make sure the regional manager knows how I feel. People are way more polite if they don’t know who is carrying.

Hey! This is a forum for Waffle House lovers, lol! Seriously, as a Yank, I know I’m in my beloved south when I see my first sighting of that yellow sign.
He's a manager of a WAFFLE HOUSE for crying out loud - not a ton of thinking going on there period.
The reaction against the manager and Waffle House on Facebook was predictably angry that a uniformed police officer would be thrown out of a restaurant.
What difference does him being a Police Officer make? My right to a weapon comes directly from the U.S. Constitution. I am as well trained if not better trained then many police officers. Our rights police officer or not should not stop at the door of a waffle house..........
