The Miss American Pageant jumped the shark about 30-35 years ago when they decided to go PC. It stopped being about "beauty," and became a platform for feminism.

I'm surprised she won, then. Most candidates expressing such an unorthodox view would be booted.
I can't imagine why there is even one thing I need to know about Miss America. I guess that's why I clicked on this thread--I was *really* curious about what there could possibly be that I need to know about a Miss America. As it turns out, there isn't a thing. Although that bit about domestic violence is odd. (Or maybe the editors were asleep on the job.)
She lost me with the whole “advocates for domestic violence” thing, which I am sure means “VAWA.”
First of all, the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) is unconstitutional on the face, as it purports to only “protects” women and in legal circles is called the “Violence Against the Majority of Democrat Voters Act.” (There are more women than there are men, a higher percentage of women vote than do men, and a higher percentage of women vote Democrat than for other parties.)
Equally unconstitutional, VAWA is not applied equally, yjere are no real protections or services for males. Equally disturbing, VAWA is predicated on outright lies. Possibly the worst aspect of VAWA is that the Act funds an army of fat, man-hating dykes who lobby against men and spew vitriol against all men anywhere and everywhere they can.
The author called her “brainy.” But her PC DV tripe proves the opposite. She obviously is nor brainy enough to know that these hairy-armpitted gals hate Miss Americas just as much as they hate God and men.
Too bad. America needs intelligent women... not just another sheeple following lost souls who rebel against God and solicit the destruction of America.

I didn’t watch it, but my wife tells me the ventriloquist lady should have won.
It’s been said that the NY state delegation throws it’s weight around when it comes to determining Miss America. 3 years in a row seems to be a trend.

Perhaps “the best looking girl in well drilling class”.
With a name like Kazantsev, I fully expect her to be fluent in Russian. Any contestant can say she “plans” to go to law school or to become a brain surgeon. I “plan” to go to the moon next year.
