NO you are the “moron” once again.
At any time, at his own choice, Harry Reid can invoke the “nuclear option” on ANY bill.

The Republican Senators know this. It renders the filibuster and the cloture vote meaningless.

They rendered themselves meaningless and you want more of it.

And the Big Bad Wolf is gonna get them too.

BTW, I love your style.
Post a vanity, then demand that those of us who don’t agree with you
get Zotted.

Looked like something Nancy Pelosi would do. You love free speech,
as long as you are the only one who gets to speak.

At the very least, please present this “nuclear option” in it’s entirety.

The filibuster still applies to standard legislation and to SC nominations. The option has been implemented with respect to other presidential appointments and lower-court appointments.

It takes 51 votes to modify the Senate rules and could be used for other Senatorial charges, but that would require another vote for those changes. (As I understand it)

With that said, Mitch has already alluded to restoring the 60 vote threshold upon becoming majority leader (What a fighter!)

Also conservatives gave the power of the purse to R’s in ‘10, which they promptly handed over to their “Statist” brethren. The same power that could kill the nuclear option in it’s tracks (But a shutdown would cut off the tap to their cronies)

Now, I’m not as up to speed on the race that your spouting about, but I won’t ever be chastised into voting for “Statists” and sympathizers of either party. Furthermore, I will support the sacrificing of a seat if necessary by obstaining and just going down-ticket I.e. Mitch, Cochran, Boehner, etc.
