i never mentioned men’s rates.
i said i wanted women’s rates to reflect the severity of their crimes. they don’t. i wish they got the same harsh sentences that men do. they do not. different sex organs shouldn’t matter one bit when murder is the crime.
and if it’s self defense it isn’t murder so that’s not an excuse either.
to be more accurate i didn’t mention men’s rates in terms that i wished they got lighter sentences b/c women do. i don’t want that. i want women murderers to go on death row and actually be executed at the same rates as male murderers. should be no difference, gender is irrelevant.
I’m not talking about anything you said to begin with. Your post reminded me of a related issue I thought you might find to be of interest and might share my opinion about. I don’t know how to convey that any more clearly.
Often the woman who is in prison appeals to emotion, such as claiming pregnancy or the need to be visited by her children instead of executed. It apparently wins sympathy.
