I suspect Richard Widmark had to be “toned down,” too. He was at his best pushing old ladies in wheel chairs down the stairs.

And here's the money quote: "In lieu of flowers, her family is asking that donations be made to Planned Parenthood, said her publicist, Katz." It's the last line of the story.

That's just bizarre...honor a long life by supporting the death of innocents???

Liberals are really twisted.

The gas chamber scene in ‘’The Winds of War’’ IS the most terrifying thing I have ever seen filmed. Good God, I don't know how those actors did it. It is simply horrifying.

The Sopranos: Season 5, Episode 7
In Camelot (18 Apr. 2004)

Storyline

She has many stories to tell him - she claims to have been one of JFK’s girlfriends - and Tony takes an interest in her welfare. She claims that her father had promised her his share of a track he owned but that Hesh had cheated her out of her inheritance. When Hesh decides to sell the track, Tony makes sure she gets her share. The sale causes friction with Phil Leotardo, Johnny Sack’s right hand man. As for funerals, Uncle Junior has decided that going to funerals is a good way to get out his house arrest, at least for 5 hours on each occasion. He’s taken to scanning obituaries to see what might be available. Christopher has been helping a friend he made in rehab, J.T. Dolan, a TV writer. While J.T. has successfully stayed away from drugs and alcohol, he is quickly developing a new addiction - gambling. Christopher arranges for him to play in their high ... Written by garykmcd

Best line of his IMHO was in Out of the Past (1947) Kirk Douglas as a crime kingpin with some toughs tries to recruit Mitchum down in Mexico in his hotel room and Mitchum replies

Let’s go down to the bar. We can cool off while we try to impress each other.

There are so many, but I like this one from Macao:

Mitchum, as far as I’m concerned was...along only with the Duke...and perhaps my man Bogart....THE MAN!!
____________

I agree. Those were real men.
I have to add James Stewart. He didn’t just play a war hero in the movies. He WAS one.

Emmy-winning actress and singer Polly Bergen, who in a long career played the terrorized wife in the original “Cape Fear” ...

Cape Fear: The great movie based on John D. MacDonald’s novel “The Executioners” — probably the only JDM novel that translated well to the big screen.

Daughter of radio/tv comedian/ventriloquist Edgar Bergen of Charlie McCarthy,Mortoner Snerd fame. Socialist activist famous for taking a swipe at Republican Indiana Senator Dan Quaile during her tv show. A Hottie never realized she was that old or followed much of herperconal life or film career. No mention of marriage in this bio. If she did get married she kept her father’s name for stage and film presentations.
