There is a video of a man believed to be the last person to see her alive. The man walked into the police station this weekend, requested a lawyer, and apparently did not help the police. I understand why an innocent man may ask for a lawyer, but the police chief is implying a lot with his statements.

Honestly: these days, if the cops name you as a “person of interest”, you **need** to lawyer up.

Remember Richard Jewell, identified as the “person of interest” in the Atlanta Olympics Bombing ? Innocent, but railroaded.

Or Stephen Hatfill, who was exonerated AFTER being driven to suicide by investigators into the Anthrax Attack of 2001. . .

The cops name whoever is convenient, and the narrative immediately become that they are the SUSPECT. . .

I saw the statement that the parents made to the press.The father sounds British.Don't know if she was a foreign exchange student...she probably was.Her parents are both white so I assume she is as well (although she could have been adopted).Regardless of her race it looks like one of the "persons of interest" in the case is black.

So when do *we* start rioting???

He supposedly took her to a wine bar in the Mall for a drink. If so, he could also be charged with “Impairing the morals of a minor” since she is only 18, and underage.
