He was released on bail late last year after having been granted a new trial.I attended the court hearing in the summer of last year in Connecticut (about an hour from my home) and it was astounding.He lied through his teeth the entire time.During his testimony he blamed just about everybody except King Charles IV for the murder.He blamed it on their live-in tutor,on "three black guys" and he even blamed it on his own brother.Just about the most nauseating thing I had ever witnessed.But I did get to chat with Martha Moxley's mother...an absolutely delightful woman,and determined mother,for sure.
And BTW...if you watch the 48 Hours episode that CBS did just after he was granted a new trial you can see me for about a second at the end.As Skakel is being escorted to the witness stand if you look in the gallery you'll see a guy with gray hair and a black t-shirt.That's me.I'm a star!!
