Yeah, I don’t even know how to describe it! Maybe “Classically Staged/Lip Synced”. TV show music appearances were like that in those days, but the Beatles pulled it off w/o looking so stiff. Humorous in retrospect!

What is with the lumberjack shirts? Those are Pendelton shirts. The pattern used to be called "Beach Boy." Now sold as Board Shirts, surfers wore them as warm up shirts due to the cold water off the California coast. Only Beach Boy who actually surfed was Dennis Wilson. Brain Wilson originally planned to call the group the Pendeltones. as he admired the tight harmony of the Letterman and the Four Lads.
