I am not a mental health pro, but in my own opinion I believe they get into the porn industry due to a combination of:
1)low self-esteem and finally getting ‘attention’ of being wanted.
2) The ‘right/wrong’ people/friends guiding you.
3) Money. Feeling like you can’t make it any other way. That your body is your only asset.
Then again, a big dose of narcissism might be all it takes for some.

That is simply not true. Everyone is fully capable of rational decisions at any age. However it REALLY helps to have some current real life examples of people screwing up.
Back in the 70’s when I was going to High School we had a very beautiful 14 year old get pregnant. This school did not experience another youth pregnancy for at least the next SIX years.
Similarly Drunk driving death by young people diminish after a recent local incident. Unfortunately the young need these examples every so often. Pray that your children are not the example

There is some truth to it and it has to do with maturity.
People are maturing at a later age these days. Back in the day, the path was clearer for people — job, marriage, children. Probably driven by culture and tradition. Now it can happen any random order.
She doesn’t need us to judge her. We are all sinners. Just pray for her.
It has been medically proven that the decision making part of the brain does not mature in young males until about 25 years, young females a bit earlier. If you don’t believe me, visit a spinal rehab clinic and notice the age of those undergoing treatment for stupid accidents involving risks older people would rarely if ever take.
I think many have probably been sexually abused as children.

I agree with you, on multiple levels. She really is lost. In Christianity we are all repentant sinners. Right?
I don’t know her story, but vulnerability of any kind, is a great liability when dealing with other human beings. Sorry to say, but it’s so true. Few people really care about you, and for some people even parents aren’t among those few. I’m not saying that about her parents, but just making the point that life is a difficult journey - and when you fall off the path when you are 18, it’s sometimes very hard to find the map you need to get back on the right path.

These people are all just nuts! Sending a kid to a 40,000 a year school to study percussion? Sending all of the kids to an 11,000 a year high screwl?
On a 200k income with student loans the parents still have to pay off and nearly my age? I left school behind a long time ago and never had any student loans. He is a military doc and didn’t go to med school on a military scholarship and joined the military freely? Is he nuts? Wait, the answer is YES.
These people have platinum wishes on a just barely silver income. They set their sights way too high.

Maybe something happened to her in her formative years — sexual abuse or some other perversion. Something “desensitized” her as a child to sex and destroyed her emotional innocence. I wonder if she can feel any intimacy towards her partner.
No, it is not natural for a woman to want to have sex with many many partners with NO emotional attachment. The purpose of sex is for procreation and the potential children are less likely to survive without that necessary bond between the parents or not knowing or caring who the father might be.

No one in the industry doe not have any issues. The girl was raised by a loving and probably pretty conservative Catholic family. She was RAPED. She couldn’t tell her family, probably suffers from PTS and feels like crud so like those who abort and abort and abort, do so while trying to make themselves seem normal. Also, yes, the young do make many misjudgments, like many Marines are killed on “crotch rockets” while on a long leave. The terror and adrenaline rush is addictive, too. How many people cannot report they are raped? How many men?

It was not my intention to pass judgement on the girl. I was just noting the fact that she wasn’t able to fully admit to what she was doing because it was the only way she could cope with herself.
