They’re not Indians, and they never bought into the idea of America. I think indigenous is about the right term for them. Or simply natives.
All of us here are native Americans.
I just call them redskins or injuns (feather not dot). If they have truly assimilated, speak standard English, believe in the One True God, hate abortion and sodomy, then they’re just good old unhyphenated Americans.
