Speaking of feral cats...

Sparkle surprised the dickens out of me last night. I was lying in bed, playing solitaire to relax a little (I have played it so much, I don’t have to think, so that rests my mind) and she came up to my hip and started to purr and meow.

I reached down to pet her and she instantly settled down, rolled around in contortions to make sure all of her got stroked, and for about 15 minutes, she was in heaven. She was so excited by being petted that she bit me a couple of times. She never bit hard, but at that point, I kinda figured why she was/is afraid of hands.

Anyway, she held my forearm like she would a toy and began to dig with her hind claws, but the claws weren’t extended. She knew what she was doing, but couldn’t stop herself! LOL!

At the end of that delightful time, she stuck her tail in the air and sauntered off to the foot of the bed. This morning, I went in to gather up her dishes and clean the box and she was lying at the foot of the bed. She didn’t move when I reached down to scratch her ears.

I realized this morning that I didn’t buy the usual groceries on payday because I was going to Busdaddy’s so now I’m out of Emergen-C and instant breakfast. I DID buy my OTC pills, so there is THAT! I’m surprised anything got purchased, actually.

The stress was so high that the ulcers began to bleed again, and I think the visits the Toilet God Ort last week was a warning to me that things were not right in Whoville. So now I have to get the ulcers under control by Friday. Lots of bananas, honey and spices, and I’m running out of the spices. I think nutmeg is the only one that is fairly new. Ohwell. I’m just not eating anything that will upset my stomach. I wish I had gotten some canned chicken broth. That would keep me going for a few days.
