Wonder why no death sentence? Had I been on the jury certainly would have been my first recommendation.

This scum should not be allowed to live. Authorities said it was one of the most horrendous crimes and crime scenes that they had ever seen.
Maybe one of his fellow prisoners will give him the punishment he deserves.

I’m guessing he was a minor at the time of the crime. He was tried as an adult but could not be sentenced to death. That’s the law in Kansas.
