Blacks are more likely to be stopped and frisked by Hub cops in a “problematic pattern” that stops short of “widespread” racial profiling, according to the researcher whose findings the ACLU cited in an explosive report on Boston police tactics.

I just don’t understand how so many police departments engage in this type of behavior, I mean where do they get the idea that this demographic is even involved in so much crime that would necessitate such brutal tactics?> the ladies like me for my ability to give multiple sarcasms...

It's not racial profiling if blacks are committing most of the crime. A stat that no one wants to talk about, a fraction of the US population committing a whole heck of a lot of the crime and then they wonder why they're under such scrutiny.

Democrats. Since this is sexist (again based on the logic mentioned) and racist, it seems that white women should be profiled. And after all, white women in Boston generally vote the same way as blacks in inner city areas. They would be in favor of reducing the city’s racist image by having the endure the profiling. (again, sarcasm).

“Profiling” is the result of experience. Cops and everyone else knows where most crime comes from. Prevention is better than cure.

So what if red-haired, Irish-looking youths were committing the great majority of the crime in Boston? Would the police be justified in profiling them? Yes.

But young white Irish are not the problem. Black male youths are the problem. They should be profiled.

From comments I've read from blacks on a number of websites apparently many of them sincerely believe (despite the evidence) that whites commit as many crimes as blacks. I'm sure some black people know what's up, but obviously many are extremely deluded.

It is racial profiling, its just not racist. There is nothing racist about recognizing the fact that young black men have a much greater probability of being criminals than any other segment of the population. Now detaining someone without cause is unconstitutional (not that anyone cares anymore) but searches following stops for j-walking and other petty offenses is effective and constitutional.
