That's a good point. Well, not a good point, but close. Well, not close, but hopeful. Well, not hopeful, but wildly optimistic to the point of blind self-deception. ;-)

The WHO situation report (referred to in the OP) cites 8033 infections with 3865 deaths - a 48% death rate.

Actually it is the point to a silly comparison.

Perhaps you mean AIDs, which in 33 years has killed 36 million and is killing people at the rate about 4500, a day.

I think many of those case will die eventually, so maybe the death rate is higher than what yo figure.
