A reporter on wfaa just commented that she was surprised a health care worker has a suspected case of Ebola yet the family in isolation has not exhibited any symptoms. Zach Thompson surprisingly replied not to be shocked if we have another case. The reporter then asked does that mean someone in the family has symptoms and Mr. Thompson did not say no but repeated again, “Don’t be shocked if there is another case”

Some woman, didn’t catch her name, just now on CNN mentioned that nobody at the other hospitals that received and cared for the 2 Americans flown over here have contracted the virus and that perhaps we should divert any Ebola cases to only certain hospitals which are set up to more readily and safely care for these cases.

Ok, one strain does not affect humans, but that's not the question here.

The question is whether the current human-affecting virus share the Reston strain's ability to float on air currents. The evidence suggests that it does.

I would certainly treat it as if it does, considering the high risk involved.

Within 10 minutes of the “Official” statement of the person being a “low risk” person, CNN had information leaked by a contact from the hospital that it was a femal nurse.

That means Doctors, Nurses, etc. will not go along with the B.S. controlled news.

Wow. I wonder if even this will shake the Government out of its stupor? The odds are getting better, but less than 50%.

Maybe after the disease gets a roaring start in this country, we could just this once suspend political correctness in order to make a decision in the best interest of protecting the interests and safety of the American people. Just this once. After the epidemic is in control, then we can go back to being PC stupid.

The number should be understood as “up to 21”.

Not as a guarantee that a patient will get that long, just meaning that long must pass to be sure the disease is not still undetected in a patient who was exposed.

I’m reasonably sure that the doctor, even the CDC, knows this is bad, but everyone is afraid of the thugs in the White House, so they just regurgitate the approved talking points.

When it comes down to protecting a phoney-baloney bureaucrat job or the lives of innocents, you'd hope that SOMEONE would do the right thing.

“Doctor couldn’t answer all questions due to patient privacy but said that this person wasn’t even part of the “watch list.””

That is SCARY, because that person, no-doubt didn’t feel at any risk...and then figured he just got a cold (and so did the people he had contact with).

It’s going to be an interesting winter when people show up at work with a head cold...

See that’s the thing...I don’t know much about bio-hazards but from what I’ve heard this is a level-4 contaminant in which requires special coverings and decontamination procedures. Remember in the movie Outbreak where they’d go into those special showers with bleach. Are the nurses utilizing these showers? Do all have them? What are these health workers wearing? You need more than just gowns, gloves, and dust mask.

Transmission of Ebola virus from pigs to non-human primates

A study conducted in 2012 showed that Ebola was able to travel between pigs and monkeys that were in separate cages and were never placed in direct contact.

Wow! I did not know. Appears to be a big-time cover up.

They're not IN a stupor.

They're incredibly alert and active. They are so busy doing the wrong thing that they can't slow down and evaluate the data.

And their zampolits are just as busy, because the blessed culmination of open borders, globalization, invade the world-invite the world is at hand.

If you think they're lazy or stuporous, you don't understand their game.

It is scary. They’ve identified as a female nurse. Wouldn’t elaborate on the level of care she provided to Duncan. Said she was self-monitoring and hadn’t been to work the last 2 days. I can’t imagine the fear she must be feeling.

When the cane toads raced across Australia, the fastest moving ones got to open country first, where they could breed without competition. Their legs evolved longer, and some became so driven to march, they wore their feet to stumps.

I imagine it is possible for viruses to evolve in such a wide open environment as a pandemic. Look for it becoming more easily spread. And, since it seems a lot of people get ebola by caring for family, look for it to cause more need for caring — worse symptoms, for longer.

Every time ebola jumps to a new victim, it a chance for it to evolve. We’re looking at millions of opportunities for ebola to become a better killer.

Publishing it in Nature is not exactly covering it up.

“How come the guy’s family has not come down with it? I don’t get it.”

I suspect what happened is that feds offer some bribe to people that may have been exposed, say $1M, if they keep quiet. Obviously, in most cases, the money would go to the survivors.

The above plan works fine, as long as the offer is on the table, but this person wasn’t considered high-risk, so he never got the offer and likely went to the media first. The media then went to CDC and CDC knew it was too late to contain the news.

I simply don’t see how Duncan’s family, at least some of them, cannot have it by now. Let’s watch that Dallas judge and see if he keeps making public appearances, or not...
