I draw but do not paint nearly as well as this. If you can afford it, go for the purchase, as a patron of his work. I like that he does not overly rely on using extremely bright colors to define his subjects. There is room for the Fauve approach, but too many artists use Fauve or compositions dominated by a dynamic splash of color as a crutch, a sort of glittery panacea.
