I met Carol Everett years ago at various prolife conferences where we each would be on the speaking agenda. One of the things she disclosed is that in those days, before sonograms, abortionists often "sold" abortions to women who were not even pregnant. Just lied and told them their tests were positive and they should get rid of the "tissue" right away. That's the kind of people "prochoicers" really are.
