The problem lies the Baltimore area, and Prince George’s and Montgomery counties.
This doesn’t look so hopeless to me:

I’m not real happy where I am, but I’d look closely at Western Maryland, before leaving the state altogether.
But is you are looking for a great Maryland crab cake, here are three places -
Stoney's in Prince Frederick, MD
G&M Restaurant in Linthicum, MD
Sunset Lounge in Glen Burnie, MD
If you look at the Brown signs in PG County, Baltimore, Baltimore County, he is shown as dark skin. In the outer counties - Calvert, St. Mary’s, etc., he is shown as light skin. That is not by accident.
Ah, but they didn’t poll the cemetaries of Baltimore city.
Ha! I hadn’t noticed that.
Come to think of it, the only signs I’ve noticed have been Hogan’s. I guess the Dems believe my particular area is so locked-up that they needn’t spend money. (That’s been the pattern in the past...)
Try the crab cakes at Kentmoor Restaurant in Stevensville, Maryland. Its just across the Bay Bridge if you’re heading east. It caters mostly to locals (who demand quality if you want to keep their patronage). Nice place with a spectacular view of the Bay. They also have their own beach with outside food and drink service. Their steamed crabs are consistently good.
Thanks for the tip. Ironically, its really hard to find quality crab cakes in the Bay area. The absolute best crab cakes are the ones you make yourself from picking the crabs. You can’t beat that fresh taste and quality. And try pairing them with a nice glass of Gewürztraminer wine. Perfection!
You’re right. Very few signs for Brown, but lots for Hogan. He sure made a good run for it.
Unfortunately, I don’t foresee Maryland ever having a Republican governor. Ever. The Dems have a lock on the state.

I recommend these folks, they buy at the docks in St. Michael’s and Easton daily, the best unless Mother Slim makes them, she only uses crab from Smith Island watermen.
Now I’m hungry, and try to find a decent crabcake in New Mexico.
I’ve driven by it many times but never stopped in. Thanks for the info; sounds like a good find.
Further down the road there’s Harrison’s Chesapeake House right on the water on Tilghman Island. They had sizeable crabs (which are getting harder to find) the last time we were there and the view from the outside crab deck is pretty scenic.
Sadly, Captain Buddy Harrison has recently gone to the Great Wet-T Shirt Contest in the Sky.
Maryland "Freak State" PING!
Well, we’ll see. After all, we’ve had many Republican governors, and one not too long ago.
For myself, I just want a good man who follows the law, and sticks to the Constitution and traditional American values regarding our basic freedoms (and that would require one who actually KNOWS them.)
Maybe Hogan won’t win this election, but I think he is at least going to really surprise people no matter how this turns out. I was very impressed that he made such an effort in my own very “deep blue” area.
Tides Turn; the only thing sure in this life is change, and that’s a blessing.
After the last six years, a lot of people are very tired and disillusioned, no matter their political party, race, etc. I think that’s going to be a big deal in the coming election, all over the country.
(Sorry if this posts twice; I encountered a glitch.)

I agree with you there. We voted for him, if for no other reason than to send a message to the Dems that have a stranglehold on Maryland politics. Also agree with you that lots of people are unhappy with the current state of affairs in this state, and around the country. But...we are increasingly being out numbered by the Takers, Illegals, and the growing legions of people who have come to depend on government for their livelyhood, free services and benefits.
The upcoming election will be a watershed event for the country. No question about it.
Dear Leader is coming to PA (Philly) to campaign for the energy hating, tax loving Tom Wolfe (who is ahead in polls in the governors race here). Let’s hope/pray/good wish that Barry “works the same magic” here...
