Will George Stephanopoulos pull a Crowley when he moderates debate?
vanity

Posted on 10/29/2014 4:42:48 PM PDT by airedale

We all remember when Candy Crowley put he fingers on the scale during the debate between Obama and Romney that changed the momentum of the debate from Romney to Obama. Will George do it in the New Hampshire Senate race. Considering his work with Shaheen during Clinton campaign and his close ties to Mandy Greenwald who is working on Shaheen' s campaign. If so what's your guess on what it will be?

Second h o w could Brown and his staff been so negligent in allowing this moderator? Does he have someone like Nicole Wallace advertising him?

Third was the fan problem in the Scott, Crist debate another example of a Crowley? The rules were negotiated with both candidates and the debate sponsors. As soon as the Crist team installed the fan which was specifically prohibited the debate sponsors had an obligation to immediately remove it. They didn't then they allowed Crist to appear on the stage and blamed Scott for the situation. The sponsor if I remember correctly was a media consortium which probably leans left.

Why do Republicans agree to have partisan Democrats as moderators to begin with?

George “step on all of us” is a snake in the grass. A former Clinton “War Room” apparatchik, why would anyone believe him, much less allow him to “moderate” the debate?

That’s not the question.

What is the question, will Brown have the stones to step up and confront Georgie when he does it? As Romney did not.

Has Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity ever hosted a debate?

Probably not because the Democrats would never agree to it.

He doesn’t have to pull a Crowley. He personally unveiled the democrat War on Women nonsense in a GOP presidential debate.

Of course! I would not support ANY Republican stupid enough to agree to such a setup. They don’t call us the stupid party for nothing.

You make an excellent observation.
One that was proclaimed loudly and often by Rush Limbaugh.
And a good number of R candidates lost because they fell in a trap that had a flashing arrow sign pointing it out.

In Debate, ABC’s Stephanopoulos Presses Romney on 1965 Contraception Ruling

During Saturday’s Republican presidential debate in New Hampshire, hosted by ABC, co-moderator George Stephanopoulos bizarrely pressed candidate Mitt Romney on whether the former Massachusetts governor believes the U.S. Supreme Court should overturn a 1965 ruling that a constitutional right to privacy bars states from banning contraception.

Romney, befuddled by the off the wall nature of the question on such an issue that is not on any state’s legislative agenda, eventually observed that it was a “silly thing” for the ABC co-moderator to ask such an irrelevant question. Stephanopoulos’s odd persistence which dragged on the discussion with Romney for more than three and a half minutes inspired a number of boos from the audience before Ron Paul and Rick Santorum were then allowed to weigh in.
