That's what I'm wondering too.

Then again, the announcement Thursday could have been an attempt to keep the press at bay for the sake of her family. I'm guessing if she'd hadn't made that announcement there would have been satellite-truck gridlock in her neighborhood, turning it into a much larger circus than it already was.

A week ago, or so, she named Nov 1 as the date. Yesterday (the 1st) she said she was delaying it because she felt better. Things must have changed today and she pulled the trigger, so to speak.

In all likelihood, the date was chosen by the suicide activists she’d aligned herself with, due to its proximity to the election.

Perhaps the importance of doing this before the election was impressed upon her by those same people. With numerous suicide initiatives on the ballot, they needed her to go through with this before the Monday news cycle.
