The current Sheriff is a Constitutional sheriff who got pushed out by the GOP.

I have my “I Voted!” sticker to prove where I was this morning.
Just got back... couldn’t believe the lines! I normally vote first thing in the morning so not sure what to make of the turnout but the GOP tent was busy with people and the DEM tent was all quiet. I hope it’s a sign but I only glanced on my way in and out so can’t say if it’s a sign or not...
I voted at 9:00 AM and was surprised to see my polling place with lines out the door. My husband and I were voters #196 and #197 in our Ward (a smaller, rural Ward that turns out in the afternoon, after the plowing is done and the cattle are fed) but the other (citified) Ward had processed 200 voters in the first 1/2 hour. It will be a very heavy turn out, if this is an example. This is a reliably Republican district. I’m predicting 60%+ turnout.
SCOTUS took away our hard fought for Voter ID at the last minute, but I slapped mine down right on top of the orange placard that said "No ID required". I told the clerk that I was "making a statement" and she thanked me and said she agreed!
I voted a little after 8 AM, and my prayers I know are with millions of others that the Republicans will obtain both the House and Senate—Amen!
