It’s the 3rd time in 2 days I have heard Cruz specifically refuse to state support for McConnell as Leader. The first 2 times were before the election, now afterwards, he still refuses??? It’s not rocket science.

Cruz was all over campaigning. Ernst, Cotton, Perdue, Gardner, et al are Tea Party winners and they got a huge boost from Cruz.

I can’t stand Begala but he isn’t stupid. Cruz has a MAJOR power play now in Conference...what will he do with it?

My take is that Ted is on a mission to preserve and protect the US Constitution and get the country back on track with American Exceptionalism and much needed reforms.

If that means becoming leader of the US Senate, then that is what he will do. If it means running for President in 2016, then that is what he will do.

Ted is a once in a generation perhaps lifetime phenomenon and I am grateful for his appearance in politics today because he is so needed today.

Cruz is talking about forcing reconciliation to REPEAL Obamacare knowing the dictator will veto it. He welcomes the veto.

Yup. Pass the repeal. Force a veto. Attempt a veto override and get all the Dems on record opposing it.

THEN start poison-pilling ObamaCare by inserting damaging clauses into various bills. The question is, would it be better for the poison pills to be designed to collapse the thing as quickly as possible, or to increase the pain its causing to teach the American Public a lesson about getting the government they vote for?

For instance, insert a clause into the HHS approps bill that strips the executive branch of their ability to unilaterally modify the law. Make it go into force as designed. Cause pain. Leverage that pain to build political pressure to gut the thing like a fish.
