I’ve actually seen several YouTube videos demonstrating Windows 10 Technical Preview. The highly Desktop user interface centric orientation of Windows 10 is why I expect Windows 10 to be a huge hit among corporate and government users.
There is really no reasons to upgrade from Window 7 to 10. For Windows 8.1, just use Classic Shell . And add the Quick Launch if you want, as explained in above threads. One thing that could be much improved, and could be a major selling point, would be much improved speech to text capability. Dragon (hate the name) basically has a monopoly for Windows, this improvements are small and at about a $100.00 cost.
MS should work with hardware manufacturers to optionally enable the PC to boot from voice recognition, and to create custom commands, like as one can make keyboard shortcuts to do things. Choose function>web page: http://www.freerepublic.com. Command, "Go to FR." Click on post reply, etc,.
Plus Alarm: "notify me at 4:14pm"via text. And do voice training from users own documents (not just use them for spelling). The list goes on once you begin.
