My greenhouse is about winter ready. I have tomatoes and herbs in there. Outside, I still have about ten cucuzzi babies. I wish they would get big before the first freeze which might be next week.
My sweet potatoes are fingerlings..ugh. I still need to move them into the greenhouse. We've had about 3 inches of rain this week, but today the sun is out. My lettuce, broccoli, asian stuff, spinach, etc really loved the rain.
I have an idea rattling around in my mind for a semi green house using the retaining wall behind my raised beds some one by two frames and plastic and row covers with hinges at the bottom.
It would be kinda like a cold frame, only taller. The taller side/retaining wall I would just have to raise like a chest freezer, and reach in to harvest stuff. There is an outdoor electric recepticle to plug in and use a light bulb for heat.
I also need to get some straw for mulch.
