We just finished enrolling our family in the healthcare plan provided by my wife's employer. The deductible is $3000 per individual and $6000 for family. Our oldest son, who works for a private company, has also been put on our plan because he could not afford to pay the health exchange prices nor his employer's healthcare plan. My wife was paying about $450 per month on the healthcare premiums to cover the family. Now, we are suddenly going to be paying $650 per month and there are NO choices - just one plan from which everyone can choose. It only pays %70 of costs after deductible is met, not the %80 we used to have at lesser premium.
Now, multiply this by the millions of Americans about to be affected equally and and you will see a MAJOR economic impact starting next year when those premiums start getting paid. Someone wants amnesty for illegal aliens precisely so that they will not be able to mooch off of the healthcare system which will already be strained, but will also have to pay the outrageous prices for healthcare like all of the rest of us while the government is enriched through the process, It is all going to be on "Oh wow!" moment for everyone. Obama has NO choice now but to ram amnesty through by Executive Order or the whole stinking mess will come down around him.
I'm sure that, out of gratitude, the new recipients of "amnesty" will suddenly start paying their taxes and obamacare premiums...??? In addition, Unicorns will fly daily and crap skittles for everyone as well! Get a grip!
Most of those getting amnesty will qualify for Medicaid. According to Obamacare, illegal aliens are not entitled to subsidies, but they are exempt from the individual mandate.
Once legalized, they’ll pay like everyone else and will find that the Democrat Party is NOT a friend.
P.S. When I retire in 4 years, my portion will be another 3 xs as much as it is today.....

That is because the medical/Government/industrial complex has figured out an asset resource. Your house. Your stuff.
When you retire you may not be able to afford the premiums, and since they set the prices, they can make sure you cannot afford the premiums. If you cannot afford the premiums you are kicked into Medicaid. And Medicaid, is not insurance. You have to pay it back. You cannot have more than minimal assets.
The assets will belong to the state and the hospitals. And you will have nothing. Bank on it.
What happens to the U.S. economy when so many are forced to pay much higher healthcare premiums?

51% of those receiving amnesty lack even a high school degree. They will qualify for Medicaid and most of the others will get subsidies. Obamacare will add 18 million to the Medicaid rolls.
Amnesty, of course doesn’t solve this, it compounds this. Take a look at your 2015 premium rates and actual coverage after co- pays and deductibles. Mine have gone up over 100% but then, I’m an elderly retired puke who ought to just die.
Um, make they pay, how, exactly?
When I retire in 4 years, my portion will be another 3 xs as much as it is today.....
Have you considered Samaritan Ministries health share program?

Whoever wrote this has been smoking something funny. The rates are high to pay for those who aren’t payi in. After illegals get amnesty it’ll be higher.
I think the only way this will go away is when people grab their congress critter at their office and take the increase from them on their way home. I would call it “TAKE IT BACK”. I would smack them around some too. When these goobers get hit every day, they will think again about how they hit their constituents.
That is when you go into long term care or nursing homes that your assets are reduced. The so-called "clawback" provision, the asset-recovery provision of Medicaid, was enacted in 1993 by Congress in response to rising Medicaid administrative costs. States were compelled to try to recover costs from the estates of the deceased who used the program for long-term care, either via liens placed on an individual's home or claims on their assets. There was also an option for states to recover other routine medical care expenses. The expansion of Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act made more residents eligible for Medicaid. The state and federal government as of February 2014 have not clarified clawback guidelines, triggering complaints from consumers and advocacy groups from the uncertainty
There are 66 million on Medicaid counting the CHIPs program. They won't be paying anything back. Medicaid is single payer health insurance run by the states with federal and state funding. Here is a sample card.
You will fund the pensions of the gov’t employees who will retire at 55 at 110% of their last salary.
As of January 2015, our Health Insurance will be $1,800 a Month for the Wife and I, up from $1,600 a Month that we have been paying since last January.
$125 of that amount is for Dental and Vision. The Premium now exceeds our Monthly Mortgage Payment.
In 2013, we were paying $1,200 a Month, but that Plan was cancelled because it didn’t meet the Obamacare rules.
Thank you Lord Obama, Queen Pelosi and the Court Jester Harry Reid. We couldn’t have done it without you.
$650/mo for three people? That’s a bargain compared to what Obamacare did to me!

I did not double check that I got the numbers exactly right but I believe that they are.
Now that the election is over we'll see cost increases for healthcare by ten times? More?
And a corresponding decrease in spending for all but the bare necessities. Healthcare cost may even cut into that.
The past couple of years showed modest reductions. Now look out!
on the plus side with the higher deducts and lower payments..
Perhaps more people will start price shopping for non-emergency care and perhaps handle that hang nail on their own.
