FULL TITLE: Florida set to execute man who has been on death row for 22 years for raping and murdering his 10-year-old stepdaughter and her mother
A Florida Panhandle man is set to be executed tomorrow for raping and murdering his 10-year-old stepdaughter 22 years ago, just minutes after he killed her mother.
Chadwick Banks, 43, is scheduled to die at 6pm Thursday at Florida State Prison in Starke for the 1992 slaying of Melody Cooper, who was found on her knees naked from the waist down and her body slumped on her bed at their Gadsden County trailer home.
The body of her mother, Cassandra Banks, was found nearby.
Both had been shot in the head.
Banks, who was 21 at the time, is serving a life sentence for his wife's murder.

Just found an independent statistic that is also based off of arrest made. Although the numbers are very slightly different, it’s still considered very much a “White” crime. They have included a few more races in this statistic. Still approaching 50% or more white....
I should have spelled this out a little better. Those percentages are based on the crime, not the whole population. I’d never leave my house if that were the case!
So, out of all rape cases, 65% are conducted by Whites, out of all child mollesters, 65% are white, etc.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, I found an independent site based on arrest throughout the country. A few more races are added but the percentage based on these crimes only dropped at the most by a point.....
Your post was clear. However those data fail to take into account that black males only account for 6% of the population.
That 6% is committing a heck of a lot of violent crime. If you compare the rate of crime by race it more clearly describes how much more.
Yes, she was a real piece of work. Worked as a legal assistant or some such. Bolin openly flirted with her in court during one of his numerous trials; he was seen on the camera doing so. She divorced her wealthy husband and left their ritzy home and family (4 children I think) and married the murderer. She proclaimed he was innocent and she was going to prove it . . .
I always thought her husband should have been happy he was rid the wacko!
Her body was found the same day they found the missing body of another of his victims, a 16 year old girl.
I remember it all as if it were yesterday.
I would have threw a party. “Thank God and Greyhound You Are Gone” would have been my favorite song.

I was younger than 10 at the time. I recall we had to always make sure to be in groups waiting at the bus stop, or walking to the gas station. He wasn’t caught until after we moved.
