The good thing, is the head has no say over the rest of the churches. Bishops run each diocese however they want. I don’t know of any numbers delineating percentages, but you are more likely to find conservative leanings in the South and outside of the blue voting areas.

I had not considered that side effect of the opening of the silver line. xsteen and xsbaby have mentioned that they have to wait longer for a train since Vienna is no longer the end of the line and the # of trains are split between the orange and silver lines. It def makes sense though! We always took our kids to see Santa at Tysons galleria bc it was less crowded and a very nice old-fashioned santa.

I can’t understand why Houston doesn’t have a decent train line system. They currently have something like 9 miles from downtown to the Medical Center and is mainly used by people you would not want to be alone in a train with..... so they are spending a buttload of money to expand the trains to the worst part of Houston! As if ANYONE with a brain would drive there, leave their car, then ride in with the gangs and ghetto trash. And the thought of walking to your car in the dark is beyond frightening!

“The Caliphate represents an alternative political vision that is gathering support amongst Muslims across the Muslim world because… it stands for replacing the brutal regimes in which they live with a political system based on Islam that sets up an accountable executive, an organised judiciary, representative consultation, inal motions and amendments for the rule of law and citizenship; such a state could only be a stabilising force for the region and the European Left has to acknowledge and accept the widespread call for a Caliphate among Muslims as valid and an authentic expression of their emancipatory, anti-imperialist aspirations.”

You can concealed carry in Texas. ;-)

There was talk a long while ago about doing a maglev project in Pittsburgh. They were to go from out east here near me all the way to the airport (well west of town), with only two stops inbetween.

It was all a gov’t funded boondoggle idea, of course, but I would have used it for when I have to fly, that’s for sure.

Don’t think it would have been very practical for commuters or anything.

Sitting here with mi botanas watching the local weather channel RE the progress of the first Lake Effect event of the season…

30 inches so far outside my door; my Bro 5 miles south has over 4' to this point. (I'm near the Airport in the deep blue at the upper RH corner of the map.)

You should, like, move or something.

I bought salt this past weekend. 200 lbs of regular salt and 80 lbs of the mixture for really cold weather.

I had 50 pounds and about 15 pounds left from last year.

An aptonym would be LaGarrette Blount being busted with marijuana too.

Blount-man and Chronic, our dynamic duo.

Blount threw a tantrum and left the field last night cause he wasn’t getting any playing time. It will be real surprising if he’s still around after the bye week.

We don’t use salt. Especially not on our new concrete porch and walk. Not sure what it is, but it’s not salt as it’s bad for it.

Since Obama prevaricates so
That his pants are on fire
A fitting aptonym would be
To rename him Barak DeLiar

It says it all with meaning
And doesn’t give him a pass
As a bonus it sounds French-
Maybe that gives it class

But he’s no less despicable
No matter the name he uses-
Blowing money that is ours
And golfing when he chooses...

Un botana no es una comida-some say apertivo, but that means an appetizer to me.
