Step 1: Position Hillary right of Obama - make her out to be a moderate centrist;
Step 2: Make her a sympathetic figure. Bad guys are out to get her, so patriotic Americans will rise to “defend” her against these dark forces (remember the “Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy”?)
Step x: Full loving-grandmother role, once Chelsea’s kid is born.
Step y: Something to do with strong military action or support for military members and families. I’m guessing they’ll launch some sort of “Blue-Ribbon” panel or organization to champion the much-needed fixes to the VA.
Step z: Some kind of big surprise item. Maybe she’ll propose repealing Obamacare, and replacing with something marketed as fixing the bad, while retaining the good.
