I’ve never been a fan of small dogs, but the ones that originally had a job are okay-small spaniels and herding breeds, some terriers, etc-most of them act like “real” dogs. The small breeds that were never anything but a purse ornament are another matter-yappy, snapping and just generally unpleasant-Chihuahuas are at the top of that list for me-my mom had a tiny Chihuahua that was totally obnoxious-yapped, snapped at/bit everyone, and lived to be 19 years old.
