You don`t do a knee jerk reflex of supporting the lesser of two evils. Let me ask you, What has your lesser of two evils concept done to stop, let alone reverse the trend by BOTH parties towards the centralization and tyranny of the federal government?
In my experience (watching elections since 1976 and participating since 1984), no Republican candidate (and, tell the truth and shame the devil, not many Democrats) has been “evil”.
I believe it was Reagan who said something like “just because I only agree with someone 3/4 of the time does not make him 1/4 my enemy.”
Of course, if your goal is somewhere between libertarianism and anarcho-capitalism, then by comparison to you, I am myself an evil statist. Oh well, I'll just have to live with that shame.
