I was going to say that sin was anything that violates God’s law but your definition is better. It really isn’t that complicated.

Sin is worse if you do something wrong when you know it is wrong.
Our souls are born pure. Certain acts such as taking a human life are always wrong. We know what sin is subconsciously even if we have disconnected with our pure child and logically convinced ourselves that something is not a sin.
Just yesterday I worked with a woman who had two abortions when she was younger. Even though she told me that it was ok and I said nothing in response to her statement, when I touched her soul and amplified the memories she lost it emotionally and sought forgiveness. She accepted forgiveness and instantly her eyes opened wide and her burden was lifted.
The really great thing is that Divine Grace is here for all of us and it is stronger right now than it has been since creation.
