My advice would be to take race, religion, gender, and name off the applications completely. Apply by social security number or redact the name completely to the admissions decision committee. Names are usually a sure give away for gender and can be for race as well. I have never known a white guy named Tyrone, a Christian named Goldstein, or a black person named Chin.

That said, Harvard is a private school. It pisses me off a lot more when it is a government subsidized institution.

They can’t do that, the school would instantly be sued for disparate outcome

One of my favorite quotes from Reagan comes from his days as governor of CA. He was told that if strictly merit scoring was used for admissions, UC Berkeley would be mostly Asian. His response: “So?”
