1928: Frankford Yellow Jackets 2, Green Bay Packers 0. Trudging to a stadium on Thanksgiving to watch a football game in which the sole scoring play was a safety was better than trudging to a 0-0 outcome. Frankford is a neighborhood in Philadelphia, so the Yellow Jackets-Packers contest pitted two small areas.
Gadzooks, big, nothing like this... since the December 26, 1970 playoff game between Dallas and Detroit ended with my Boys winning 5 - 0.
BTW George Andrie and Jethro Pugh both got credit for the safety when they sacked Lions QB Greg Landry in his end zone late in the 4th quarter--
I attended a game between the Jets and the Colts in Indianpolis in 1987 which ended up a 6-0 win for the Colts. Talk about a snooze fest.
