A guy I knew used to race a winged sprint car. He put a direct-drive gear set on his 350 (bored to 360). He had to buy a reverse-grind camshaft because the way the gears were designed (two gears, as opposed to the four in your picture) turned the camshaft in the opposite direction from normal. He forgot about his fuel pump, and had to send it back to get the mechanism on it reversed, as the fuel pump was a direct drive off the camshaft.
