Minnesota high schools may soon be affected by a proposed policy that would allow students to participate in sports based on their gender identity rather than their biological sex.
On Dec. 4, the board of directors of the Minnesota State High School League will vote on the policy.
According to the draft of the policy, titled Gender Identity Participation in MSHSL Activities:

Yeah, but that’s only if you’re not a stupid person on a school board or in the government.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
Pff, those are for paying subscribers only!
This is the tip of the iceberg. Illinois may ratify ERA on December 4 or 5. ERA was ratified in the Illinois Senate last spring. It is presently in the Illinois Legislative Committee.
A citizen’s lobby day to oppose ERA will be in Springfield on December 3 - 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

And people wonder why I call the place Minnestoopid.
IF any state is nuts enough to go along with this proposal, I would guess the rationalization will be that such cases will be so exceedingly rare that they effectively don't count. And as long as the female imposters keep out of the locker room and don't win too many championships, that may prove to be the case.
That said, this is potentially a serious threat to girls and women's sports, and I would expect the Title IX crowd to be highly skeptical. Title IX is all about separate but equal, not turning girls sports coed.
Hockey? (pic at the link).
First time someone like me boards a girl and she gets seriously hurt, the lawsuits will fly.
Then hockey will become non-contact I guess.
In reality I don’t think I could really board slam a girl.
The absurdity continues.
Oh, ...high school.
I was gonna say, don’t the U of MN Golden Gophers suck badly enough *without* letting the cheerleaders play offensive line?
Heres one of me in a two-piece bikini at the beach.
...some things need to not only be unseen, but unimagined, as well...had to buy a new camera, I’ll wager...
We already have questionable, perhaps hermaphrodite XXY “women” gaining top spots in women’s track (Caster SEMENya) and basketball (Britney Griner). It should be simple... If you have a Y chromosome, you’re not a woman.
The real losers are the real women who must compete with the semi-men.
If I had a daughter and was living in Minnesota I would be trying frantically to get the heck out of there.
Self selected gender identity for placement on teams. The stars of all the women’s teams will be men who will run roughshod over the women. Like Soviet “female” athletes who had to shave before appearing on the podium at the Olympics.
The girls teams will clean up. The boys teams will....suck ;-)
