I can connect fine to the internet, it is FF and flash player that caused the problem.

I would try using a new profile as explained in post 45. You can even install another copy or version of FF. During installation choose the customize option to install it in different subfolder of Program files, like maybe 2nd Firefox, then follow the instructions in 45.
