The difference I have found is that when an American/Caucasian female discovers that her spouse is cheating then the very first thing that she does is to empty the bank account, max-out credit cards and get a lawyer so that she can ‘take-the-spouse-to-the-cleaners’, so to speak, to get her retribution.....’to get even with the dog’ and make him ‘pay’. “He’ll be sorry he ever cheated on me!”
Puerto Rican, and for that matter, Hispanic women, in general, will try to do the things which will get the man back home, like change her lifestyle, start being ‘nice’ to him, lose weight, start being more amorous and overall, trying to be the ‘perfect wife’. I would say that the Puerto Rican/Hispanic female is worlds better than her American/Caucasian peers. She does her very best to keep the family together rather than think ‘divorce’ immediately.
