And you know absolutely squat about the game of football. Weeden is craptastic at best. Romo is a very good QB. This season he has three things he hasn’t had previously. He has his coaches commitment to the running game, a damn good O-line, and a defense that can actually play. This is the 1st time in his career that he hasn’t had to be the only one making plays. Last season he had to bail out the league’s worst defense. The running game was non-existant.
Look at the stats, Romo is a Top 5 QB. There isn’t a team in the NFL that wouldn’t snatch him up in a hearbeat if he was available. It’s fashionable for those who have no football IQ to bash Romo.
This is why I absolutely hate the NFL. Because people think Tony Romo is a great qb because he throws for 300 yards every once and while, that only pocket qb’s can be good, and “you have to control the line of scrimmage and play field position because the defenses are so fast.” It’s a paradigm that never gets challenged because job security is so shaky: coaches do what’s expected, lose, get fired, and wait for the next gig.
I can’t make it through one commercial break in an NFL game.
