The band I’m in does this version of the song. It’s a bit tough for me to sing the falsetto background vocals at the end of the song, but I usually manage :)

The band is good, I wish our bass player was 1/10 the caliber (used to be my job until he took over for me when I had 2 neck surgeries). It would be fun to play this song on bass, hopefully I get more time soon.

Nice colors. Reminds me of Disraeli Gears.

OMG I was once dragged to one of her shows by the Mrs. and had to endure sermonettes between numbers.

It was like a Leftist tent meeting.

After South Vietnam was taken over by the commies in ‘75, Raitt wrote a song celebrating the takeover. She’s worse than just a run of the mill lefty.

Don’t know what year you went.

I saw her in the early 2000’s. A great concert. With Hornsby playing backup for her. NO politics.

When she sang I Can’t Make You Love Me...it nearly brought me to tears. Beautiful clear voice.

This was just after Katrina and she was in the terminal stages of Bush Derangement Syndrome.

But I agree - when she shut up & sang it was very good.
