The playoff system dictates now there be four mega-conferences, the Big XII will be the odd man out.
Why is that everyone understood with the realignments going on in the last few years, that conference championships would be key to moving towards a playoff format, and everyone moved things around to make that happen? Everyone except the Big Twelve, and now they are whining that the system changed? It did, and we all knew it was changing.
I feel sorry for both TCU and Baylor. They are both good teams. However, it doesn’t mean that the committee is corrupt, or that the Big Ten is corrupt. It means we have a new system. Whether we like it or not, all of the conferences have had to change in the last few years, and like you’re saying, more changes will be coming.
