Of every liberal, enemy agent, and other non-conservative person in this world whom I for the most part abhor, one person stands out whom I actually have a soft spot for. That, of course, is the infamous Iraqi Information Minister, colloquially known as "Baghdad Bob", during the start of the war in Iraq.
Ironically, every newscaster in the mainstream media in the United States has aspired to Bob's level of "substance" and have usually achieved such prominence, many actually surpassing Baghdad Bob's own rhetoric. To that end, one cannot really hate Baghdad Bob as much as one would like, as he was just one of the herd.
Nevertheless, many Americans, while wishing justified harsh consequences for regimes such as Hussein's (and their ministers), it should be noted that Baghdad Bob is on his deathbed. He gave an interview on Swedish TV.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with my health, I am as fit as an 18 year old athlete and I bench press Volkswagens every morning before my 50 mile jog, uphill both ways.
Poor guy.
Hope God cares for him.
He’s fortunate he did not succumb to lead poisoning a decade ago.
May his one 72 year old virgin visit him soon.

I had a soft spot for him too. It was fairly easy to tell he didn’t even believe the lines he was given. Often he could barely keep a straight face.
I can understand this point of view. He’s not a murderer, okay, he was a puppet for that regime, but I really do not wish a terminal condition on the man.
Well, let’s hope, for the sake of his soul, that God Jehovah gives him Truth at last.

Several months ago I encountered someone who knows Baghdad Bob personally. He confided in me in true and somber tone, and with the request not to be too surprised: Baghdad Bob is Christian. Now, only God knows the hearts of men, so how much stock to put in this I do not know, and I have never heard it straight from Baghdad Bob. Even if I did, his credibility is only 10 times greater than Barack Obama's.
