a lot more police are going to stop caring and stop responding to incidents and calls in major parts of towns. Areas will become no go zones and any order will be meted out by the residents themselves or the gangs.

If I lived in an area like that, I would welcome it. If police cannot handle it then it is up to We The People to put the rabid dogs down.

That said, I live in a quasi-rural town where the police are professional, responsive and respectful. I'm friends with a few of them and have had many interactions with a lot of the guys on the force and my local PD is always a welcome sight. We're some of the lucky ones.

Same here! Geography does play a role in people’s attitudes toward cops!

In Watts, they are hated!

Around here they are no concern to the average Joe at all. Only if he is breaking the law......which ole Joe doesn’t do very often!
