I was never banned by Lucianne and I did frequent her site before I came here. Both sites are a reflection of the person that runs it. I never had a problem with it. I found FR to be a more interesting and stayed. I’m not even sure if my username is still valid there or not. I signed on here in 2001.
The “Must Reads of the Day” sometimes contain a worthwhile article, and the editorial cartoon is usually good, IMHO. Thanks for your reply !
I was banned. My husband and I were banned within 24 hours of one another. Husband corrected the facts put forth by one of the moderators. That caused the wrath of the moderator whose name escapes me since that occurred 14 years ago. Lol. Then I was banned for questioning why husband was banned. The moderator claimed it was due to husband and I posting from the same IP address. We started the recipe threads there. And husband wrote some hilarious parodies in those days. I wish we had copies of those things.
Too many posting rules at Lucianne, so I quit reading over there years ago. Seemingly every thread had some knuckle-rapping reprimand by a moderator, e.g., “don’t post this way, don’t say this, don’t do that, this is not allowed, you are wasting bandwidth,” etc. Very tedious.
That would be ironic, if your inquiry was about me, kidding ;-)

The discussion is relatively tame because the rules don’t allow you to address each other directly, except by posting #.
Not a bad idea to check that website. I used to post on that one before discovering FR. Now I don’t post there, but they sometimes have different articles than FR.
I own a KIndle Fire. A Washington Post app was downloaded as part of a recent update. I don’t care for it because it opens up with two preselected stories in panes. Sorry Washington Post I’ll decide what stories I find of interest.
I got banned from Lucianne early on too.
I was banned and the moderators there wouldn't let me even sign up. I mentioned something to the fact that Lucianne used to bump uglies with Hubert Humphrey on FR and the moderators, many refugees from FR, banned me from the start.

I'm just taking people's word for it. I couldn't possibly care enough to was the time checking.
