I was in the Navy, but during peacetime, never in combat. Does anyone know what today’s military does to prepare their enlisted personnel for life outside of the military? Do they make it easy to get help or counseling for emotional problems. Or do you take a chance of having your discharge date postponed if it you look in need of psychiatric help?
This is a tragedy from any perspective.
I read somewhere else that Stone was only in Iraq for two or three months - sounds like a tour of duty cut short because of some problems, pre-existing or triggered.
