Jesse is a SEAL according to both Larry Bailey and Naval Special Warfare. Either alone is authoritative. Taken together, there can be no dispute. And as Naval Special Warfare noted at the time, Jesse served in a SEAL reserve unit after he left active duty, so even if one insists that his active duty service does allow him to claim to be a SEAL, that would.

Thanks for the reply.

Jesse Ventura was never a Special Operator, he only completed BUD/S course.

To the uninitiated or novice, no one cares about such details. But it’s as much of a difference as advancing into the paygrade of E-7, eligible to join the Chief’s Organization, CPOA; against the process for recognition amongst your peers as a REAL Chief.

Anyway, in every narrative outing SeAL fakes, the fraud is first asked to identify what BUD/S class they attended for verification. Jesse Ventura did successfully complete BUD/S. Just as advancing to E-7 for one day allows someone to join the CPOA; the minimum requirement for joining the SeAL membership organization is completion of BUD/S. Most frauds never get past this point, but they’ll lie about it anyway.

Next, frauds are asked to identify which Special Operations Unit (SeAL Team) team they served with. Jesse was never billeted to Special Operations Unit because of the Sullivan’s clause; siblings can not serve together unless waived by the service members.

Jesse chose exemption because his older sibling Jan was an actively serving Special Operator. Jesse served honorably aboard a US Navy vessel offshore VietNam as Storekeeper, but he was never a Special Operator, aka SeAL.

Cheers,
OLA
