Sure; let’s give the gavel back to Harry.
Hey, Ted had 22 with him this weekend.
If he can pick up 7 of the added 9, that puts him at 29 of 54, and Mitch is in deep trouble.
Off topic but the “gang of” reference got me:
(from a ‘tweet’ today)
“Niels Lesniewski @nielslesniewski
On the floor, recalling #gangofeight, @SenatorDurbin calls @GrahamBlog “a conservative by every measure””
IE: Durbin ‘praised’ Graham as a conservative using the example of his work in the “Gang of Eight”...
On topic: implausible but fun.
Threaten independence unless the leadership forces votes you demand.
I thought the vote for leadership had already been taken and ol’ Turtle face was elected Leader?
I despise McConnell...but FTLOG ... no more dirty Harry.
Biden is NEVER going to allow Cruz to be in a leadership position if he can help it.
McConnell has been the biggest stealth-supporter of Reid in existence, he is not going to throw that away.
IMO, the national Republican party should just quit, or join the Democrats(would it really change anything?).
Revolution calling......
Makes me remember the part of the Sermon on the Mount—”Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
You’ve picked the three patriots in the Senate and I’m not sure that there are any others.
The GOPe has made it clear that it’s as big an enemy of the American people as the Democrats, it’s just better at lying to us about it. We don’t need a third party, we need a second one to counter the duopoly of evil that now dominates American political life.
Biden does not get to vote in a Republican leadership vote, any more than Bernie Sanders does. He can break ties of the full Senate, but leadership is decided by the party members themselves. McConnell is a pretty good strategist and parliamentarian, but a lousy communicator. I think you have to live with him for the next two years, at least.
